Post-Doctoral Researcher
Ronrick Da-ano
Ronrick was a Post-Doctoral research in the lab. Dr. Da-ano completed his PhD under the supervision of Dimitris Visvikis and Mathieu Hatt (Université de Bretagne Occidentale, France) where he studied different harmonisation methods of radiomics signatures. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Etienne Vachon-Presseau (McGill University, Montréal, Quebec) where he is studying the use of machine and deep learning techniques in the classification of chronic pain using brain imaging.
Master's Student
Azin Zare
Azin completed her Master's degree in the lab where her thesis focused on evaluating the predictors of prescription opioid use and examine alterations in the brain of individuals suffering from chronic pain being prescribed opioids. She is now currently a Doctoral of Medical Dentistry (DMD) student at McGill University and a research assistant in the Vachon-Presseau Lab. Her passion is to become a clinician-scientist and she is always looking forward to new opportunities.
Rayehehossadat Rezvaninejad
Rayehehossadat Rezvaninejad was a master’s student in the Dr. Vachon-Presseau’s lab. She got her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Iran, and then she moved to Montreal to continue her education. Rayeheh is investigating the prevalence of the Chronic pain types with age. Outside the lab, she enjoys hiking and meeting friends, and she is a hobbyist photographer.
Alan Edwards Center for Research on Pain
Our lab is affiliated with the Alan Edwards Center for Research on Pain which comprises researchers from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Science. Its main goal is to bring together the McGill community of basic and clinical pain researchers to promote research that will result in cures for chronic pain.
